Every Sunday in your West Hills neighborhood
Chill & Saw
Every weekend, the WHLC gets together in a local back yard for a bit of sawing, chopping, splitting, and most importantly, spending quality time with friends and neighbors.   We strap a log onto our timber-sports regulation stand, bring out the ol’ single and double-buck saws, and while catching up and having an occasional good laugh, we saw.  Newcomers, friends, family, new neighbors, and anybody who cares to try are always invited (and never regret it).  We particularly love it when a new arrival transitions from the initial “You do what?” reaction, to “That is a lot harder than I thought!”, to becoming an avid enthusiast, as many have.  At the end of a good two hour session, when you have been cheered on while pushing through a stubborn cut, pushed and pulled in unison on opposite ends of a double-buck saw with a friend, and when the “cookie” drops on the final stroke of a long cut, you get to go home feeling a tad better about the world.
